Wise man

"Vegetarians and their hizbollah-alike splinterfaction the vegans are a constant source of irritation for each and every master chef worth their name. For me, life without broth, lard, sausage, demi-glace or even smelly cheese is not a live worth living. Vegetarians are enemies of everything that is good and decent in the human soul, an insult to everything i stand for, the pure joy of food. The body, these water-heads imagine, is a temple that cannot be desecrated by animal protein. It's more healthy, they claim, despite that every vegetarian-waiter i've ever worked with goes down as soon as there is talk of a cold. Of course, meet their demands. I poke around the kitchen for something to serve, a "vegetarian plate, if it's asked of me. Fourteen dollars for a few fried slices of aubergine and succhini suits my foods-costs just fine."

- Anthony Bourdain, Kitchen confidential (Translated from English to Swedish back to English.. sorry for any errors).

But don't misunderstand me here.. I love my vegetarian/vegan-friends.. but the man HAS got a point! ;)
